5.5in x 1.5in, 3D printed zine, edition of 5
This zine is comprised of 3D printed replicas of items from my key chain that (almost) all don’t work anymore.
I have a key to my childhood home that my parents sold in 2015. A key to my college PO Box because the building was torn down in 2018. A shark bottle opener that’s worn down to the point it doesn’t open bottles anymore. It’s never worked for me but it was on the house key my parents gave to me after I lost my first one. A deformed ghost key chain that I kept on my keys long after the batteries died and it lost an eye and it gotten melted by a heat gun in my undergrad advanced printmaking class when we were trying to do DIY vacuum forms. The colophon is reference to all the store cards that I’ve kept on my keys long past the expiration of my membership. And the last item is a USB-A flashdrive, which works for now, but I’m sure will be phased out eventually. There’s a text file poem that I won’t include here because it’s meant to be seen in person.
